An old favourite is Luna Parks Great Scenic Railway. The turn-of-the-century cable car system is a classic wooden rollercoaster built in 1911. It is the only one of its kind in Australasia. Travellers on the scenic railway sit in ornately carved carriages and soar to the heights of the famous face and then roll down through dips and sand bends.

Luna Park has many food and retail outlets and includes games such as Indy 500, Bucket o Fun, a Crazy Castle, Roller Derby and the perennial favourite, Laughing Clowns.

Located at the centre of the park commanding an excellent view is the Luna Palace Function area which can accommodate up to 450 guests and is a popular venue for product launches, and corporate and social events.

Luna Park Melbourne is open from Monday to Sunday from 11am to 6pm in winter and from 11am to 6pm, Monday to Thursday , From 11am to 11pm on Friday and from 11am to 11pm on Saturday and from 11am to 8pm on Sundays in Summer.
